Data Diode Day provides an opportunity for our country’s future tech innovators, cybersecurity professionals, software engineers, and computer science gurus to show off their smarts, win an internship, and earn recognition as a top tech student in New England/Tri-State area. Teams will be judged by and have the opportunity to network with some of the region’s top tech and innovation companies.

How it works

Create a team:
Minimum of 2 students, maximum of 5 students from your college/university

Who is the challenge meant for? Undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in cybersecurity, business, engineering, computer science, coding, IT systems, or technology in general.

When & Where:

March 14th, 2019 • Sacred Heart University’s West Campus

Important Dates

February 18th

Registration Deadline and Prompt Release

Your entire team should be registered for Data Diode Day. Teams should start to determine the direction in which they would like to take their pitch. The challenge registration will open on Feb 1st on this website.

Registered Students for Data Diode Day will receive the Challenge Prompt. This prompt will be the guide to creating your pitch. You will need to research Owl Cyber Defense products ahead of time as the prompt will involve Owl Data Diodes.

• You must be registered in order to receive the prompt
• The prompt will be emailed to the email address you used when you registered.

March 7th

Submit Draft Proposal

All teams should submit their draft proposal to in order to participate in Data Diode Day on March 14th. *If your team does not submit your draft proposal on this date, your team is disqualified from the challenge. You can submit your draft proposal on this website.

March 14th

Data Diode Day!

Your entire team must be present in order to participate. It will be held at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Building location TBA.
